Since its founding in 1997, Leadership Anchorage participants have connected with a wide range of organizations and community champions to meet real needs. Each year, community organizations pitch concepts to the cohort and the cohort selects the projects they want to work on in teams of up to 5 people over the course of the program. In 2023, 15 proposals were submitted and the Cohort selected five.
The five selected by LA 27 were:
Establishing an Anchorage Veterans Inventory - Anchorage Economic Development Corporation
Alaskanizing the UN Sustainable Development Goals - AK Version 3
Denelchin Lab Community Access Program - Cook Inlet Tribal Council
UAA Childcare Project - University of Alaska Anchorage
Branding Anchorage Through District Naming - Anchorage Economic Development Corporation
Leadership Anchorage Community Projects
Thank you to Nancy King, LA 18, for compiling this list!
The Alaska Humanities Forum is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that designs and facilitates experiences to bridge distance and difference – programming that shares and preserves the stories of people and places across our vast state, and explores what it means to be Alaskan.
