Forum Storytelling Fellowship & FORUM Magazine

FORUM supports Alaskan writers and storytellers, shares stories that are underrecognized in statewide media, and connects readers with an inclusive narrative of our state’s past, present, and future.

Many stories make up Alaska – many voices, many cultures, and many identities. At the Alaska Humanities Forum (AKHF), we believe that stories strengthen our communities by bridging differences, sparking connections, and inspiring understanding between people.

FORUM supports Alaskan writers and storytellers, shares stories that are underrecognized in statewide media, and connects readers with an inclusive narrative of our state’s past, present, and future.

Join the FORUM Storytelling Fellowship.

We host two 6-month cohorts each year, consisting of between 4 and 6 participants. This paid fellowship prioritizes recruiting previously unpublished writers, and serve as a venue for publishing stories that are underrepresented in statewide media. Applications will reopen in Summer 2025.
