Alaska Humanities Forum Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary with the Launch of a New Website!

Anchorage, AK – For the last 50 years, the Alaska Humanities Forum has been a leading non-profit, non-partisan organization connecting Alaskans through stories, ideas, and experiences that positively change lives and strengthen communities. Our work bridges distance and difference across the people and places of our vast state.

In 1997 we launched our first website; since then, we’ve had over a dozen versions across several platforms. Today, the Alaska Humanities Forum leaps toward our vision of a culturally diverse and equitable Alaska where people are engaged, informed, and connected with the launch of our new website.

Working with local developers from, Innovate Solutions, our new website was built from the ground up to enhance the user experience and ensure the Forum’s programs are accessible to everyone. The new site looks great and includes some fantastic new features:

• Improved navigation tools, including a site search function, redesigned menu, and database integration.

• Reorganized programs, staff, and board pages to help visitors find what they are looking for faster while increasing the discovery of other areas of our work.

• An easy-to-use donation button that makes it simple to support our mission.

• Improved language accessibility with Google translate.

“Thanks to the integration of google translate, our website is available in languages other than English for the first time. This new accessibility feature is game-changing for our organization. It will allow us to connect with even more diverse audiences throughout the state.” - Kameron Perez-Verdia, President and CEO of the Alaska Humanities Forum.

We invite you to visit and explore our new website at www.akhf.org.

Stay tuned for other 50th anniversary updates and events.
